Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Counselor Job Description

Located at the main campus on Alum Creek Drive, this position will help develop and manage the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services in the Adult Outpatient Department (ADOP). The PHP counselor will serve as a group specialist but also assist with completion and/or review of substance use, bio-psychosocial, and related assessments, and client’s current functioning. Will provide substance use counseling and/or mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and substance use education. The PHP Counselor will develop, assign, and monitor individualized treatment and continuing care plans. Will facilitate group sessions. Hours may include weekends, as needed.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Counselor Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with two (2) year of experience in the field of substance or mental health treatment.
  • State of Ohio licensure: LPC, LSW, LISW, LCDC II or III
  • Workweek schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am – 4 pm
