* * Job Summary: Performs repetitive work station operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.

In addition, it may support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.

Essential Functions: * Must work safely.

* Performs any work station function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.

* Understand and carry out oral instructions.

* Read and carry out simple written instructions.

* Read work orders, labels, and schedules.

* Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview) * Inspect, examine, and observe for product defects.

* Make fraction and decimal conversions.

* Clean and maintain work area.

* Operates any equipment needed to perform a job.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

Experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience manufacturing or installing windows preferred.

Knowledge: Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.

Must be a “team player”.

This job requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60° in the cooler months and up to 110° during the warmer months.

All work stations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear.

Some work stations require additional safety equipment to include but not limited to; hearing protectors, gloves, and arm guards.

Equipment/Tools Used: Safety: Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.

Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.

Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal.
