All Around Children is now looking to hire qualified full time Lead and Assistant Infant/Toddler & Part Time School Age & Afternoon Closer Teachers to add to our team at a quality 4 Star SUTQ ratedchildcare and preschool center in Bedford Hts., Ohio.

FREE CDA program available if not qualified.

The potential candidates must be comfortable working with groups of children ranging from (6 weeks to 12 years of age). You should have previous childcare and teaching experience.

The Lead Teacher should be able to follow a set curriculum, and most importantly like working with infants and toddler aged children. In this position, you will also be required to supervise assistant teaching staff, track and report on children’s progress, and ensure that classes remain safe and conducive to learning.

The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher in conducting daily duties such as preparing and serving meals, changing diapers /pull-ups, toileting, recording daily reports/attendance, engaging in play and other daily activities.

Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to interact with infants and toddlers, patience, interacting capabilities, attention to details and organizing group activities
  • Provide basic care and following precise feeding, grooming, and changing schedule for each individual child
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of infants and toddlers such as stories, music, singing and play time to intellectually stimulate children
  • Provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants/toddler to develop and reach age appropriate milestones.
  • Training, supervising, and mentoring assistant teacher to ensure that they perform well
  • Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are sanitized and kept clean
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Communicates with parents daily and maintain positive relationships with family to ensure that their infant/toddler needs are met
  • Maintain all SUTQ related documentation and paperwork
  • Maintain the health and safety of all children

Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher:

  • Providing support for the Lead Teacher with any responsibilities and duties
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly
  • Interacting with the infants/toddlers to gauge their abilities and personalities
  • Supervise infants/toddlers on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment
  • Greeting parents and addressing children by their name

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a CDA minimum AA or BA (required to be a Lead Teacher)
  • OCCRRA Career Pathways Level 3 is preferred for lead position
  • At least two years of child care experience working in a licensed OJFS childcare program
  • Current physical, and ability to pass BCII/FBI background check
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect are preferred
  • Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
  • Reliable transportation to the Child Care center

Lead/Assistant School Age Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity and virtual remote learning time
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students’ growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Lead School Age Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect are preferred
  • Job requirements include a high school diploma
  • No college degree required
  • Current physical, and ability to pass BCII/FBI background check.

School Age Candidate should also be available to work split shifts if needed.

Part Time Afternoon/Closer Teacher this position will require completing lesson activities with the children and closing down the classroom at the end of each day.

Potential candidates should have previous childcare experience and be comfortable with groups of children ranging from (6 weeks-12 years of age). Looking for candidates who are dependable, patient, creative and enthusiastic about working with children.

Candidates should also be available to work from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday-Friday.
