Design Engineer



Description:

Actalent is partnered with a manufacturing company in Hiram, OH that is hiring for an entry level Design Engineer to add value to their drafting and design team. This company works with high pressure bearings that go onto ships for both naval and commercial use. They are considering entry level because they want to take this candidate under their wing, train them up and help them grow as an engineer.

Job duties include:

* Draft and design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

* This candidate will be responsible for updating 30,000 drawings along with any kind of new projects that come down the pipe

* Sheet metal fabrication while working with SolidWorks sheet metal software

* Working through a PDM

Qualifications:

* Technical degree – will consider both Associate and Bachelor level degrees

* SolidWorks experience

* AutoCAD 2D experience

* Experience working with PDMs

* Sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus but not a must
