Auctioneers is looking for an energetic, customer-focused DEI/Yard Staff -Part-Time.

In this role, you’ll help our team to organize the Columbus, Ohio yard for auctions, and you’ll work at our temporary auction sites in the region.The Opportunity:Ritchie Bros.

Auctioneers has an immediate opening for an Equipment Inspector.

Reporting to the Equipment Manager, this role is ideal for an experienced and ‘hands-on’ individual who is passionate about taking great strides to conduct accurate and thorough equipment inspections related to our auction site’s Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) Program.In this role you’ll:* Gather and verify equipment inventory information (e.g.

contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, etc) related to the Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) Program.* Answer for assessing equipment and composing photos for the DEI Program* Verify all equipment descriptions based on the RBA Equipment Standards Manual* Identify and record all equipment components, accessories and asset details* Verify requirements for warranty applicable items* Perform visual inspection (e.g.

wear points, damage, hour meter readings, etc) and functional testing (e.g.

basic operations of the asset) on equipment related to the DEI Program* Responsible and accountable for quality assurance of equipment data input and associated information of inspected assets* Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all* Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods* Help as required to the DEI Team* Perform other related duties as assigned by the Equipment Manager.Here’s what you bring:* Previous experience in equipment management (inspections, inventory and appraisals) and/or inventory control management, preferably in the auction or heavy equipment business* High school diploma with some post-secondary education is required* Experience with or knowledge of industrial and/or agricultural equipment, trucks and trailers* Intermediate proficiency in current MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel)* Proficiency using technology such as computers and digital cameras* Strong written, spoken, listening, and interpersonal communication skills in English* Proven ability to effectively interface with Sales and Operational teams, as well as customers.

You must have a strong customer service orientation* You must be process-oriented, hands-on and ready to roll up your sleeves to succeed in this role* Excellent organizational skills, you’re the type that leaves no detail unattended* You thrive on achieving results without ever sacrificing integrity* Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed* Ability to think quickly and make decisions on your feet* Excellent time management skills, the ability to multi-task multiple projects and initiatives effectively and prioritize work are essential* Highly capable of meeting strict deadlines in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment.

You must also can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines* Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed* You have a strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to have fun on the job.This job will require you to:* Have a valid, clean driver’s license* Climb on and off large equipment and trucks* Work both indoors and outdoors year-round* Work regular overtime, including weekend hours, at the auction sales.
