Compliance & BSA Analyst

Position Purpose:

The Compliance & BSA Analyst will perform daily tasks related to the Bank Secrecy Act and regulatory compliance and is responsible for conducting risk-based internal monitoring reviews in order to ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Collaborate with internal partners to perform compliance analysis, reporting and documentation in accordance with department and professional standards.
  • Provide assistance in the evaluation of new products and services, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Perform compliance monitoring and testing of technical mortgage related regulations and secondary market investor requirements as necessary.
  • Perform monitoring and analysis of designated work lists within Yellow Hammer risk assessment software as directed by the BSA Officer
  • Provide preparation and support for regulatory audits & examinations, as directed.
  • All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • One to three years of office administration experience; banking experience a plus.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Solid Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) with accurate data entry skills; proficient knowledge of working with spreadsheet. Ability to become proficient in use of specific software required for position.
  • Solid knowledge of banking industry practices relative to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Programs, and OFAC.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • High level of confidentiality required.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects with varied deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves eye strain due to the regular use of computer screens, reading of reports, forms and so forth.
  • Work involves ability to read and understand written materials, spreadsheets, analyze data and so forth.
  • Work involves sitting for long periods at a time.
  • Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions.
  • Work involves lifting and moving files of up to 15 lbs.
  • Work involves ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
  • Work involves some travel to attend meetings, training, and so forth.
