Assistant City Engineer

The City of Lima, Ohio is currently accepting resumes for the position of Assistant City Engineer in the Department of Public Works. Provides direct support to the City Engineer; plans and manages federal, state and locally funded capital projects; supervises and performs engineering functions; supervises Engineering Division design, inspection, and survey personnel; establishes and maintains external relationships; prepares and maintains records; maintains personal and professional competence and awareness; provides continuity of Division operations in City Engineer’s absence.

Qualified candidates must possess the following: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field, plus eight (8) years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience. A registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.

Starting Pay: $33.59 per hour w/o Professional Engineer (PE) license

$36.04 per hour w/PE Or PS license

$41.78 per hour w/PE & Professional Surveyor (PS) license
