Business Operations Analyst

Overview: Amyx is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst to support DHS/S Professional Services and Mission Support Office of the Under Secretary (OUS) / Front Office, Knowledge Management, and Interagency contract on-site in Washington, DC.

Interface with internal and external points of contact; establish and maintain communications, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence.

Assist in the development and implementation of sound programmatic and governance policies in the best strategic interest of Homeland Security.

Assist the OUS in the scouting and scanning for future technology solutions that are market or operationally disruptive.

Assist in the analysis represented by these potentially disruptive technologies and the development of capabilities to take advantage of them or to counter them if employed by adversaries.

Responsibilities: Provide assistance and management analysis to OUS team leadership to include, but not limited to, ensuring effective communication, manage logistics and scheduling between its members and outside personnel.

Scheduling, internal memos, filing, records management, and intranet website maintenance; arrange meetings, conference calls to include scheduling with other attendees; scheduling conference rooms; maintaining metrics for OUS efforts; arrange conference calls and off-site meetings; and coordination of daily operations of the OUS Staff.

Assist in the development and distribution of correspondence, briefings, spreadsheets, and schedules using the Microsoft Office suite of programs and tools Assist in ensuring that written communication developed in OUS is of the highest standard, properly formatted, easily understood, concise and relevant to include posting of information on internal and outward looking websites, preparing outgoing correspondence, developing training materials and reviewing directives and guidance documents.

Provide direct support to Rapid Response Analysis and Strategic and Contingency Studies efforts within OUS to include supporting, drafting and coordinating coordinate responses to: rapid response tasks; unanticipated mission-related taskers, crisis response taskers; contingency studies; and strategic studies executed by OUS in support of the USST.

Assist in the response to critical priorities and events to clearly inform DHS leadership with timely evaluation and/or capability delivery.

Provide expert advice on the establishment of improved business processes and procedures that support the strategic direction of the directorate.

Outputs may take the form of information, advice, opinions, trade space analyses, recommendations, support to program and technical management, support to program planning and oversight, technical evaluation, training and/or services to complement the Governments technical expertise in accomplishing its mission.

Qualifications: Required Skills and Qualifications: Contributes to the evaluation, analysis, and development of recommended solutions.

Top Secret clearanceResolves complex problems, which require an in-depth knowledge of subject matter related to the designated field or discipline.

Applies principles and methods of the subject matter to specialized solutions.
