payors, providers, administrators) to develop and maintain data necessary to support performance goals under the organization’s payor contracts.

Facilitates data exchange with health plans for value-based contracts and care coordination programs.

Manages, analyzes and reports total utilization and cost data for defined populations and works with supports stakeholders in identifying performance improvement opportunities..

Maintains a detailed understanding of Ohio Medicaid value-based payment program requirements, data and reporting; secures, maintains and reviews data and reports related to such programs and Akron Children’s participation and performance; works with appropriate stakeholders to support development of recommendations based on such understanding and review Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts as key contributor in support of planning, implementing and maintaining the data management capabilities necessary for supporting the organization’s performance under payor contracts.

Supports annual budget development and management for the Managed Care and Children’s Health Collaborative.

Provides guidance and support to analytic staff in the department and throughout the organization.

Other duties as assigned.Other information:Technical Expertise Proficiency with Excel, or similar software is required.

Proficiency working with databases and reporting software required (Strata and Epic preferred).

Working knowledge of the business of health insurance (financial aspects of fee-for-service and risk-based contractual arrangements) Excellent written and oral communication required Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills required Demonstrated analytic ability required Self-starter Strong interpersonal skills requiredEducation and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly preferred Degree major in business, quantitative analysis, mathematics or related field is required.

Minimum of 8 years of experience (5 years if have a Masters degree) in healthcare data analytics, contracting (including value-based) and/or health insurance is required.

Experience with Medicaid contracting preferred.

Experience with risk contracts preferred.
