Air Testing and Compliance Lead

The Air Testing and Compliance Lead provides leadership and support to the Corporate Sustainability Organization, Business Unit EHS Leaders and Plant EHS Leaders through managing environmental compliance testing programs. Management skills are required to coordinate environmental testing projects with the necessary expertise on environmental issues and regulations to assist the businesses with regulatory compliance and improve our environmental footprint. Job Responsibilities: Environmental Air Testing (Stack Testing) (70%) Management of testing schedules to ensure on-time completion of all necessary compliance testing Management of project resources and task execution to achieve testing goals. Prepare testing proposals and protocols with assistance of consultants for acceptance by the business unit or Director of Regulatory Law. Provide quality control for all project deliverables Assist the business units engineering organizations by aiding in the design and evaluation of process drawings for items such as stack redesigns and rebuilds Work with the facilities during initial stages of project by removing barriers that may adversely affect the schedule or overall testing results Monitor and review evolving environmental air testing requirements and test methods. Quantify impact of received lab and testing results against known historical results, known changes in production methodology, and possible impediments to providing accurate and verifiable results to stakeholders Management Systems and Environmental Compliance (30%) Support the development and implementation of a global Air Emissions Management System with the purpose of maintaining compliance and minimizing environmental impact. Develop procedures and scenarios across to standardize testing when appropriate for consistency Develop a library of guidance documents useful for informing or educating business and site-level staff of what to expect before, during, and after testing Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or another technical field. Experience leading environmental air testing and managing multi-stakeholder projects. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including the ability to compose and manage complex Microsoft Excel workbooks and spreadsheets. Ability to travel 50% in North America for air testing purposes. Travel schedule generally set in advance. Knowledge and understanding of EPA Testing methods. Knowledge and understanding of EPA Procedures for Development of Emissions Factors. Knowledge of United States air emissions regulations. Ability to influence others in a matrix organization to accomplish goals and objectives. Knowledge of Mexican, Canadian, or European air regulations is a plus. Experience using industrial data software (e.g., SAP, IP21, AspenTech, etc.] is a plus.
