Research Equipment Account Executive

This is a Full-time position in Columbus, OH posted June 8, 2021.

We have partnered with a leading manufacturer of products and services used in research, discovery, and pre-clinical testing for drug development.

Their products are sold into academic institutions and government laboratories who partner with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical research organizations.

Our client is publicly traded and has a global foot print.

They are currently looking for a Account Executive to cover Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.

Qualified candidates will be considered as long as you currently reside in one of those states. 

Responsibilities:
You will sell their non-clinical products and services to researchers in pharmaceutical, academic, contract research organizations and biotechnology within the assigned territory.  You will be expected to grow the business through prospecting and attaining new customers as well as managing the current ones.

The ability to guide prospective organizations through a technical, consultative and complex sales process.  Internalize a wide variety of scientific needs of researchers so you can properly propose the best capital and service solution that meets their needs. 

Qualifications:
4 year college degree is mandatory.

If it is a BS Degree in Science (Biology, Biomedical Engineering, etc.), even better!

Experience in sales to biomedical research laboratories or capital medical equipment sales preferred.

They will also also consider researchers looking to take their career in a different direction.  Experience in a very technical sales process is extremely helpful for this role.

You will be interacting with PhD’s and Researchers on a daily basis.

Being able to communicate on their level while still maintaining a sales presence is important.  This is a home based sales role that covers 3 states.

In non-pandemic times, it represents up to 50% overnight travel.
