Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Network Administrator is responsible for administrating and monitoring Associated Materials’ network to ensure stable operations, security, and performance of the network environment. Additionally, this function will include the organization and security of the Active Directory including onboarding/offboarding and managing permissions throughout the environment. May require some travel, occasional night, and weekend work.
OBJECTIVES:

• Efficiently and effectively onboard/offboard employees
• Guidance and support to the business on network issues including security issues
• Ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions efficiently to minimize downtime
• Fosters a continuous improvement culture to advance all areas of the business and IT

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, groups, computers accounts, OU’s, and other objects in the directory service database
• Helping end users with issues related to their accounts or computers, including troubleshooting technical issues
• Troubleshooting Printer fleet and working with Vendor on printer issues
• Manage security across the network including deployment of security patches
• Working with the MDR service to mitigate any risk to the environment
• Providing technical support to the IT Support Team as needed to solve issues
• Administering Active Directory domains and forests
• Purchasing functions for the IT Technical Team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Related certifications may be considered
• Minimum 2-3 years of assisting and troubleshooting a multi-site and multi-domain Windows environment
• Thorough understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, and server roles
• Excellent diagnostic, problem solving and analytical skills
