Plastipak is an equal opportunity employer.Position Description:The Mechanical/Design Engineer position at the Jackson Center Development facility is responsible for the planning, layout, design and installation of manufacturing systems.

Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to recommend remedies.Responsibilities:Designing machine upgrades, improvements, new mechanical aspects.Possess a good mechanical understanding of equipment and machines.Light machining knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills.3D Software and AutoCad experience.Installation, troubleshooting and debugging of machinery.Communication w/ vendors, customers, plant personnel and multiple plant locations.Project Engineering from purchase through operation of equipment.Produce BOM of equipment.Development of budgets and alternatives.Coordination of Contractors.Miscellaneous related duties as assigned.Qualifications:2
– 4 years Mechanical Engineering/Design or Technology Degree or equivalent experience.Strong written communication skills as demonstrated by testing, transcripts or other designated methods.
