Route199, the In-House Agency at American Greetings, seeks a DESIGNER to join our CREATIVE MARKETING agency as we develop game-changing campaigns to remind people of the power of greeting cards and their unique role to build human connections and bring happiness, laughter and love to our world.

Experience Required: The successful candidate: Has work that demonstrates ability to research trends (marketing, social, design, humor, product, etc.) and leverage this research and understanding to develop compelling creative concepts against creative briefs, business strategies and insights.

Presents a portfolio that showcases concepting/problemsolving skills including examples of trend driven mood boards and ppt presentations created to communicate ideas, themes and storytelling across a range of projects.

Can share examples of big, thoughtful, wildly creative ideas, including GIF motion graphic examples.

Has a great sense of humor and brings this sense of fun and playfulness to their work.

Can create fun, modern, socially relevant GIFs Motion Graphics to engage American Greetings consumers.

Possesses a keen attention to detail in executing work against fast-paced deadlines.

Is a good communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, who embraces collaboration with team and business partners.

Is social media and pop culture savvy, keenly aware of established and emerging digital/social trends, platforms, and influencers.

Demonstrates work that leverages strong, attention getting, engaging copy and has experience collaborating with copywriters.

Is proactive, energetic, and detail-oriented and able to prioritize work appropriately and shift priorities as needed.

Can ask for and provide constructive feedback.

• Min 1-3 years creative experience in a Design Firm, Ad Agency, Consumer Products, Strategy/Brand Firm or Freelance Business.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.

Education Required: BFA or BA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Industrial Design or equivalent.

Proven concepting skills taken to final execution across a range of Omni channel marketing platforms, as demonstrated by portfolio.
