Forklift Driver – 2nd Shift – 4:00pm to 2:30am

American Nuts, LLC

This is a Contract position in Brooklyn Heights, OH posted November 7, 2021.

Must be forklift certified.

Ability to read/write/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence or memos.

Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions.

Follows guidelines of HACCP Plan, GMP’s and safety rules of the facility.

Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in all working conditions.

Possesses knowledge of the structure and the function of forklift equipment.

Ability to identify problems or malfunctions of forklift and equipment.

Is familiar with all production safety procedures and guidelines as well as the use of PPE.

Works efficiently and manages time effectively.

Attends all safety, quality and production trainings.

Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude willing to work as part of a team.

Must be able to get along with co-workers and other departments while fostering a “teamwork” atmosphere within the company.

The employee is required to sit up to 8 hours or more. Moderate to heavy physical activity such as standing, walking and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) is required on a daily basis.

Working hours will be spent mostly driving a forklift sitting down all day.

Able to work on feet for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Exposed to warm and humid temperatures as well as cold environments.

Individuals may be required to handle or transport allergen specific products.

Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Work authorization: United States (Required).

Responsible for transporting goods or materials throughout the plant.

Provides the production department with raw packaging materials per requisition.

Verifies finished production pallets then processes appropriate product ID tag.

Unloads or loads semi-trucks with finished goods or raw materials.

Ensures all daily paperwork is documented and completed during the shift.

Reports any mechanical issues with forklift to maintenance or production supervisor.

Keeps warehouse and production floors clean of debris.

Responsible for locating and pulling pallets together for outgoing orders.

Perform cycle counting as needed for inventory control measures.

Follows assigned daily routing and performs work assigned by production supervisor.

Affixes appropriate labels, tags and other exterior details to products and packages.

Adheres to all safety guidelines on the production and handling of materials on the production floor and warehouse.

Prepares materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.

Familiar with company policies and procedures pertaining to Food Security/Food Defense, HACCP & Food Safety.

Visually inspects finished products to ensure quality standards are met before loading.

Maintains a positive work atmosphere behaving and communicating as such to get along with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards.

Pay range is from $15.00 to $17.00 plus $1.00 differential for 2nd shift worker.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
