PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION: The purpose of this classification is to perform office support work requiring comprehensive office and clerical skills and experience.

Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position.

Other duties may be required and assigned.

Utilizes administrative and technical office skills and knowledge of Agency policy, practices and procedures necessary to provide office support: answers telephones, directs calls to appropriate CEOGC personnel and handles calls when necessary; organizes and maintains Agency files and records; meets public as required to provide general information; and composes and prepares routine correspondence.

Performs timekeeping functions and maintains confidential payroll records; operates a variety of automated information processing equipment to prepare reports, purchase orders, budgets, correspondence and other documentation; coordinates office functions with other CEOGC departments; and orders and maintains office supplies and stockroom area, copier and fax equipment.

Assists in planning events; making reservations, obtaining supplies and catering services, setting up for meetings and banquets and setting up audio/visual equipment and making seating arrangements for the conference facilities.

Attends and participates in meetings, trainings, conferences, seminars and workshops for professional development and to obtain best practices to enable improving job knowledge ability and skills.

Additional Functions: Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; College level course work preferred; supplemented by three years of work experience in office administration for a large Social Services Agency or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
