Job Description

We are seeking a highly-motivated and organized Assistant Controller to join our team.The Assistant Controller will work with the Lincoln Construction financial team on all aspects of accounting, including but not limited to financial bookkeeping, budget management, internal controls, and reporting/compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and work well in a team environment.

This position will be based in Columbus, Ohio and report to the Controller.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll
Reconcile monthly credit card statements and manage related documentation
Review, approve, and pay invoices
Manage incoming checks and record payments
Facilitate processes surrounding accounting documentation; collect and analyze insurance coverage documents, waivers, and affidavits
Work with the Controller and team members to identify or resolve billing issues
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Experience with AP/AR tasks and bank draws
Strong business acumen and communication skills in order to work effectively with upper management, clients, and field operations as needed
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and while under tight deadlines
Construction industry experience preferred but not required
